Poverty Point State Park and Historic Area
The 3,000-acre, man-made lake that is the center piece for Poverty Point Reservoir State Park offers visitors an outlet for fishing, a variety of watersport activities and now championship golf. Located on the grounds are a new state of the art RV park complete with 54 pads and 50-amp service as well as twelve, two-bedroom lodges, some set above the water. Poverty Point State Park Marina
The two, four-lane boat launches provide access to the resavuoir, offering visitors an outlet for a variety of watersport activities. Both gated launch areas will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., including weekends and holidays. A fish cleaning station is provided at each launch area for visitor use.
